Using a similar monitoring bait to the bait you will use for control, as rodents are less likely to notice a change, will reduce the risk of bait aversion. It can also reduce the baiting period and the amount of time rodenticides are in place, providing environmental benefits.

For example, both Harmonix® Monitoring and Harmonix® Rodent Paste contain a similar bait matrix. This means, when an infestation is detected with Harmonix® Monitoring Paste it can easily be swapped over to the bait, Harmonix® Rodent Paste, providing swift control. Once the infestation has been eliminated, pest controllers should then return to a monitoring program.
