Habitat & Timing:
All cool season grass species can be affected and prolonged snow cover is a high risk situation. 

Symptoms: 
Yellow/brown patches are visible before snow which spreads under snow to patches of grey/white mycelium with small (less than 4 mm) brown, oval or round sclerotia in the dead grass leaves.
